With a diverse background spanning both retail and academic environments, I bring a unique blend of experiences and skills to my role as a mentor and tutor. My previous jobs at H&M and The Entertainer has instilled in me valuable interpersonal abilities, allowing me to connect with students in a warm and approachable manner. Moreover, my dedication to guiding first-year bioscience students at university demonstrates my commitment to supporting others in their academic journey and ensuring their smooth transition into higher education. Beyond academia, my volunteer work at Barnardo's and my local temple underscores my passion for making a positive impact in the community, whether it's through talking to those who are lonely or imparting cultural Hindu knowledge to younger generations. As someone who is bubbly, nurturing, and genuinely enthusiastic about helping others succeed, I strive to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where students feel supported, inspired, and empowered to reach their full potential.

About the lesson

As a biotechnology student at the University of Manchester, I am deeply passionate about teaching and fostering a love for mathematics among my students. Drawing from my own academic journey, which includes achieving an 8 in GCSEs and an A* in A-level mathematics, I understand the importance of personalised instruction tailored to individual learning styles. In my tutoring sessions, I employ a variety of teaching methodologies to accommodate diverse student needs, ranging from visual aids and hands-on activities to problem-solving exercises and real-world applications. I firmly believe that fostering an interactive and engaging learning environment is crucial for student success and enjoyment of the subject. Each lesson typically lasts an hour, allowing sufficient time for thorough explanations, practice, and feedback. With several years of tutoring experience, I have honed my skills in adapting my approach to suit the level and age of my students. My ultimate goal is not only to help students improve their mathematical proficiency but also to instill in them a genuine appreciation for the subject and confidence in their abilities.
