About Melanie
I myself have learning disabilities and have worked hard to develop tools unique to my learning style. It can be discouraging when hours of studying feel futile and advice from professors does not seem to click. But not to worry! Everyone has the potential of understanding and succeeding, all it takes is a personalized approach. I have tutored in calculus in the past and am currently a Biology 1 mentor as part of UF’s Student-Led Academic Peer Study Program, and I have seen my strategies work for many students. My fellow students, do not give up on yourselves, because I have not given up on you!

Organic chemistry is an extremely complex topic to understand, but with the correct studying strategies and novel approaches to learning, understanding comes with ease. In organic chemistry, it is crucial not to memorize what you are studying but to develop pattern recognition. Through lessons, I will help students develop their studying habits and pattern recognitions skills, which helped me raise my own scores from Cs to As.
