I am in my third year of my bachelor at the Radboud University. I study Science, in which I have the freedom to take courses from different disciplines. My main interests are physics and biology, but I am also inrigued by mathematics and chemistry.

It would seem that I come across as a very gentle but enthusiastic person. Encouraging, motivating, and reassuring works remarkably well with withdrawn and insecure students in my opinion.
Often times, there is more to it than a lack of discipline or motivation, and I find it impotant to get to the bottom of the issue. Sometimes, there is performance anxiety (which can cause procrastination), concentration problems (which might seem like a lack of interest), or other mental blockages. The approach therefore differs enormously from person to person. For example, you migh have to give someone with performance anxiety the space before they can grow, while someone with a lack of discipline or motivation needs a helping hand.
I am a visual thinker myself, which means I may be able to explain the material in a different manner. The teacher's method may not be a great fit for every student. By looking at the material, and where things go wrong, we can come up with a suitable solution together.
