About Huiyu
I believe language is best learnt through real communication, not rote memorisation. My lessons are different from a typical Mandarin course: instead of dry textbook drills, I teach you the Chinese that people actually speak, including authentic Beijing dialect, modern slang and idioms (chengyu), so you can join conversations with young Chinese speakers with confidence.

Hi there, stranger!
I'm a Beijinger, and my background is in theatre and the arts. My teaching style is a bit different from typical Chinese lessons. I can't stand dull, by-the-book learning, so instead I'll help you practise authentic Beijing dialect, slang, and idioms (chengyu), so you can slip into conversations with young Chinese people with ease.
I like a relaxed, fun classroom, and I'll make sure you walk away with practical spoken expressions you can actually use. Listening, speaking, reading, and writing are all covered.
Ready to start? Book a lesson, I'll be waiting for you!
