About
My lesson plan is a simple mix of Eastern & Western thought:
I start you off with a basic understanding of the tool, colors and layers palettes (the 3 most important sections), breaking things down into related groups, then working our way forward to making pixel selections, adding text, managing color for different outputs and controlling channels. I integrate it all with a holistic overview of how to apply the techniques I'm teaching.
It's FUN, engaging and fast-paced... and I guarantee hands-on, results-oriented instruction for real-world applications. You'll become a Photoshop Afficionado (or a Photoshop Guru if you prefer) in no time flat!
My step-by-step approach mixed in with a pondering on the bigger picture and tapping into your natural intuition (the "Zen" of your training) has been applied successfully by myself and my former students. They've gone on to produce beautiful and interesting images for magazines, books, animations, videos and websites. I can't wait to see what you'll CREATE!

Your Instructor is a Graduate of The School of Visual Arts, New York City; was an early adopter of Photoshop (known back in the early days as "Barneyscan XP"); was orginally trained by Adobe Systems through their "Train-the-Trainer" series; became the 3rd New York State Certified Photoshop Instructor; hired to train and consult for major publishers and numerous Fortune 500 companies during the course of my career.
I love teaching young and old alike and sharing my experience and artistic insights. I especially enjoy seeing those lightbulb moments when my students "get it"!

Details
I offer a scaled hourly rate if a student wishes to book 5-6 hours (2-3 hour time blocks), or 7-12 hours (3-4 hour time blocks). One or two 10 minute sections of self-paced "quiet-time" work (i.e. application of the techniques being taught during that session) is strongly recommended per training block. I follow this with a positive critique and guided review of what the student has produced.
