About Frankie

I am nearly done with my bachelor's degree. I will have a double major in mathematics and music with a French minor. I already spoke the language, so I decided not to choose it as my primary field. However, I still love the French language and culture, so it plays a large part in my life. I have studied in Quebec City, Canada in 2023 and Rennes, France in 2025. I have tutored French and math for years, and I feel my students' successes as my own. I am patient and willing to find what works for every individual, and I am skilled in pinpointing sticking points and working through them. Teamwork is key in any learning environment, so I prioritize communication about what is and is not working.

About the lesson

I am passionate about the French language! I began learning in middle school and now speak above professional fluency. I understand the intricacies of learning French as an English speaker, so I know ahead of time what weak points usually need attention. I have a diverse background in French, so I offer a nuanced approach including aspects from francophone cultures worldwide. I would love to help high-school level French learners, or anyone at the B2 CEFR level or below. In a typical lesson, we would tackle a new grammatical topic and/or set of vocabulary, followed by practice examples and integrating what we have been working on previously. I would love to hear my student's other interests and incorporate them into what we learn!
