About Olivia
I am a university of Leeds MA graduate with a BA in languages, and a TEFL 180 hours certification obtained in October 2025. I speak five languages, so I understand the difficulties a student can face when learning a second language. I have been tutoring students and supporting their language studies for nine years, and I have experience teaching all age groups, from early primary, to secondary, to adult learners. I strive to work with the student's wants, needs, and personality in order to make the lessons as enjoyable and effective as possible.

I have 3 years of experience teaching English as a second language to non-English speaking students alongside their school studies. In my 50 minute long lessons, I focus on the student's specific needs related to their level and work with the student to help their English. Through my TEFL certification I am confident in creating curated lesson plans for each student to best address their needs. I address a variety of skills, namely oral and written comprehension, speaking, and writing. I personalise lessons based on the student's immediate goals and situation to make them as real-world applicable as possible.
