About Amanda
I have an electrical engineering degree from the University of Waterloo, giving me experience in academic English. After getting my degree, I worked professionally in engineering for a few years, gaining a lot of experience in professional English. I later received TEFL certification so I could go abroad to teach English, but my job opportunity was cancelled in 2020, and I was unfortunately not able to pursue it.

I have TEFL certification to teach English as a foreign language. I like to adapt my lessons to the needs of the students, so they can meet their goals in the best way for them. I like to create lesson plans with my students so that we can approach the material in a way that suits them. My lessons are for English learners trying to learn the language for the first time.
