My name is Brooke, and I am a dedicated high school student with a profound passion for mathematics and a commitment to helping younger students achieve academic excellence. With a strong academic background and a natural aptitude for problem-solving, I have dedicated myself to serving as a supportive and professional resource for elementary and middle school students who are looking to strengthen their mathematical foundations.

I believe that every student has the potential to excel in math when given the right tools and a supportive environment. My expertise spans a wide range of topics, and I pride myself on my ability to assist with any and all math problems, regardless of their complexity. From foundational arithmetic and fractions to the more challenging concepts of pre-algebra and geometry, I am equipped to break down difficult equations into manageable, easy-to-understand steps. My goal is not just to provide the correct answer, but to ensure that my students develop a deep, conceptual understanding of the "why" behind every solution.

To ensure that my tutoring sessions are as effective and productive as possible, I utilize the Pomodoro Technique. I have found that by structuring our work into focused 25-minute intervals followed by short, five-minute breaks, students are able to maintain a high level of concentration and avoid the mental fatigue often associated with rigorous subjects like mathematics. This structured approach helps build sustainable study habits, improves information retention, and makes the learning process feel much more achievable and less overwhelming.

As a high school student myself, I bring a unique perspective to the table. I understand the current curriculum and the specific challenges that students face in today’s academic environment. I approach every session with a professional demeanor, a patient attitude, and a genuine enthusiasm for the subject matter. I am committed to building my students' confidence, reducing "math anxiety," and helping them reach their full potential.

About the lesson

I can help with elementary and middle school math. I use the Pomodoro technique, it's basically a 10 minute work time then 5 minute break. I'll typically start with the math they're having the most trouble with and work through the rest after.
