About Chanakya

"I want to become a teacher so that I can make a real difference in students' lives. I take the task of developing young people into kind, thoughtful and contributing adults very seriously. I have always been so grateful to my teachers and the educational system for making me the person that I am today.

About the lesson

Understanding Learner Needs: My primary goal is to understand where the student is starting from and what their specific learning goals are. I adapt my teaching methods, pace, and examples to suit individual needs and learning styles, whether they are visual, auditory, or hands-on learners.
Breaking Down Complex Topics: I believe that any complex subject can be understood when broken down into manageable, logical steps. I use analogies, real-world examples, and visual aids to make abstract concepts more concrete and relatable.
Fostering Active Learning: I encourage active participation over passive listening. This involves prompting students to think critically, solve problems independently, and engage in discussions. I believe that students learn best by doing and applying knowledge themselves.
Providing Constructive Feedback: Regular, timely, and supportive feedback is crucial for growth. I provide specific guidance on areas for improvement while also acknowledging and celebrating progress to maintain motivation and confidence.
Creating a Safe and Inclusive Space: Learning thrives in an environment where mistakes are seen as part of the process. I ensure that all students feel respected, valued, and safe to express their thoughts without fear of judgment.
Focusing on "Why": I don't just teach the "how"; I explain the "why." Understanding the rationale behind a concept helps in deeper retention and enables students to apply that knowledge to new situations independently.
Utilizing Diverse Resources: I leverage a variety of tools and resources—from traditional materials to modern technology and real-world examples—to keep the learning experience dynamic, relevant, and engaging.
