I am an engineer and have the ability to apply math in ways that solve practical every day problems in addition to typical academic problems. My engineering license required a lot of applied math. I enjoy statistics but am fluent in many branches of math.

I teach by analogy. I will introduce new topics by relating them to topics you already know. Learning does require a fair amount of work to ensure the concepts are locked in by the student. Have the patience to ensure that point is reached.
