About Jeanette
The words, "I don't know what to do?" or "Where did I go wrong?" inspire me to include the student in the discovery of the answers to such questions. I remember how not having these questions answered made me feel as a student. So, I made it my goal to keep students from experiencing that helpless, frustrating feeling. I am willing to try different methods to help a student gain understanding. I like to learn new things, especially if I have learned it from a student. I love teaching and getting to know my students.

I like to teach what the student needs and is interested in. While teaching English to a student who wanted to be a chef, I had him take virtual tours of various colleges. I had him listen to interviews with some famous chefs. We studied spices, cooking techniques, and reading recipes. School should be fun, the students relaxed, and the materials should be inspiring.
I have my BA and teaching certification. I have taught for over 22 years. I have taught in multi-grade, single grade multi-level classrooms. I have worked in the Resource Department, and the Student Services team, and I have been a teaching principal. The courses I have taught range from core courses for grades 4 to 12, Level6 English through a college, and the Canadian Citizenship course.
