About Brandon
Chemistry is a subject that has many layers of incredibly complex interactions that require vast amounts of knowledge to understand, but is wholly based on very simple and fundamental principles. I was one of a few students that passed the AP chemistry test (as a sophomore), and I understand the difficulty of test taking in the hard sciences, with chemistry holding a special place of loathing for many students.
Luckily for us, the fastest way to learn about microscopic chemical interactions is by visual mediums, which are plentiful in the age of the internet. Coupled with effective test taking strategies, students can achieve great test results in a short amount of time by mastering the basics that allow them to better understand more complicated material.
Chemistry is a fun science that should bring joy to students by unlocking the mysteries of the world through engaging experimentation and limitless potential to learn more.

Chemistry is a complex subject that is taught in a very academic way in many schools. I have grown up learning chemistry from my father (a chemistry major) and applying knowledge of chemical interactions to developing better recipes as a chef.
The state curriculum in California confused me in my chemistry classes to a great degree with the convoluted approach to what should be a straight forward subject. My lessons seek to improve the ease of access to the subject of chemistry by explaining concepts in the simplest way that is accurate.
I teach up to high school (AP) level chemistry, and can simplify concepts such as atomic models and elements with effective logical classifications and mnemonic devices to make test taking easy. It is much easier to learn hard sciences with accessible demonstrations, which are easy to create using food ingredients in the kitchen.
