About Anushree

As a trained violinist for 13 years and an active diploma-pursuing student, I am a passionate Carnatic violin teacher dedicated to helping students build strong fundamentals while developing a genuine love for music. Having recently completed my Violin Arangetram, I bring both performance experience and a student-centered approach to teaching. I am a disciple of Guru Sri K. Sivaraman, who has learnt under Sangeetha Kalanidhi Sri T. N. Krishnan, part of the iconic Violin Trio.

I teach from the ground up, focusing on posture, hand positioning, wrist control, bowing technique, pitch, swaras, ragas, and gamakas. Students are guided through Carnatic repertoire including Geethams, Swarajathis, Varnams, Keerthanams, Kritis, and Thillanas, with emphasis on both technique and musical expression.

Personalized training is available for individual goals, whether it's mastering a single piece, preparing for performances, strengthening technique, or progressing through Carnatic violin repertoire at your own pace. I offer personalized support for competitions, including song selection, practice guidance, and constructive feedback. With a strong ear for music and experience across multiple genres, I strive to make learning engaging, enjoyable, and rewarding.

Above all, I wish to help students build strong basics while truly feeling the music, guiding them through a journey of unlocking their best.

About the lesson

- My lessons will be curated depending on my client's growth, skills, and pace.
- I will teach beginners (sarale varase, alankarams, geethams, varnams) and intermediates (krithis and keerthanams) of all age groups. I can also help with preparing for competitions and performances
- I prefer taking classes on a Sunday, but we can discuss alternatives too. Timings can be decided as per convenience.
- I can converse comfortably in English and Tamil.

The lessons are structured to help you progress with confidence. I focus on building strong technique while encouraging students to truly understand and enjoy the music.
