About Chitti

I am Dr. Chittibabu, working as Professor of Food Technology in a reputed organization. I learned yoga at the age of 12 from my Guruji Gnanadesikachaar who was at the age of 91 then. It has been a very strange combination of guru and sishya interactions. But I feel very lucky to become his disciple. I attended his yoga classes regularly for six years which covered every aspect of Ashtanga yoga. He stresses upon the well-being of inner ego than the physiological aspects of Yoga. Till now I am continuously practicing yoga for my well-being and started taking (in person) classes for the past 14 years to different people in and around. It has been a wonderful experience so far for me with YOGA and feel gifted to be around this HEAVENLY WAY OF LIFE.

About the lesson

My classes start with theoretical concepts of Ashtanga Yoga (An introduction to Patanjali Yoga Sutras). The one-hour yoga schedule is designed based on the needs of individual students. Generally, my yoga class makes you feel fresh and energetic throughout the day. Course structure Introduction to Patanjali Yoga Sutras where you will be exposed to fundamental aspects and consequences of Yoga Sutras. Next, you will be taken through eight stages of Ashtanga Yoga - Brief discussion on each stage to develop inquisitiveness about yoga practices We are now ready to start practicals on Sukshma Viyama It is time to start practicing simple Yoga Postures Now comes, the Surya Namaskar Breath cleansing practices - Kabalapathi Attainment of perfect Yoga Postures Sequencing of Yoga Postures Session on Pranayama Sessions on Pratyahara, Dharana, and Dhyana This course is designed to suit age groups from 12 and above

Fortunately, I had the opportunity of being a chemical engineering student of Dr.chitti babu sir for 3 years. Sir is ever fresh and age is just a number for him. About the way he thinks and the clarity of his thought process is simply incredible. In this three year journey, I'm stunned by his freshness and his ideas. Once I asked him, "sir, what's the secret? ". He simply replied, "I do yoga". I believe, after taking this course, surely we can also reach such a state of freshness both physically and mentally...
