About Devan

I am a 4th grade teacher in Chicago Public Schools and have 10 years of teaching experience. I have taught a variety of students from diverse backgrounds. Having taught many English language learners, I am confident in my ability to support students who might be struggling in reading. I am reliable, prepared, and knowledgeable.

About the lesson

I always take the time to get to know my student, in order to best understand how they learn best. Depending on their preferred learning style, I will adapt my teaching to be hands on, visual, etc. I use a combination of direct instruction on topics they need retaught or are looking to get ahead in with giving them the time to practice with feedback.
