About Georgia
Hello!
During the pandemic, I privately tutored a second grade student and a kindergartener for 1 year, and I taught the second grader to read!
He was not confident in the beginning and then, as I encouraged him, he gained confidence little by little, and then he was reading!
It was so exciting!!! He was so proud of himself!
I also tutored a college-student who needed help with writing.
She was taking the general education class in English, so that she could obtain her Associate in Arts (AA) degree. I assisted her in English grammar, sentence structure, and spelling. She greatly improved and then graduated with her AA in Human Services!

Hello!
My name is Georgia and I love teaching!
I have 15 years of teaching English and Reading from Kindergarten to Adults.
I have my Master's degree in Education.
I am super enthusiastic, upbeat and make learning fun!
My teaching methods are several: The first one is, verbally explaining subject material from lessons that I create from the internet, while also using specific learning websites. Then, I use an informal, brief discussion with the students.
The second method of teaching I use is Evidence Based Education (EBE). This is teaching that's based on Scientific facts, rather than personal judgement, or other opinions. I also use visual devices to illustrate learning. (Charts, Posters, graphic organizers).
I think what sets me apart as a teacher is my ability to take an interest in the student as a unique person first, and then I find the best way to adapt my teaching methods to his/her personality and learning style!
