About Lisa

I am a passionate about Psychology, I believe that learning about the subject changes your outlook and perspective on the world and those around us in a positive way. I endeavour to make learning fun, and enjoy my role as a teacher to pass on my passion for my subject to others and in the process help students gain a better understanding.
I put a lot of time and effort into my teaching and put every effort into each lesson to make it not just enjoyable but fulfilling for students and able to engage and facilitate their improved understanding and application.
I am a positive, hard working person, you might hear the occasional dog in my sessions, i work from home and this is part of the package, I am a real person who reads, writes, I'm creative and love educating and learning for myself, and enjoy the interactions with students in growing their knowledge to.
I feel that my teaching and examining experience enhance my lessons and my approachable friendly demeanour are part of what makes me a great teacher.

About the lesson

My lessons incorporate taught content with use of past exam papers and assessment tools to test knowledge and application. Includes provision of handouts and materials to supplement lessons including homework activity to assess and accelerate learning.
Lessons are 1 hour in length and i have 4 years of online tutoring experience. My students have all exceeded expectations and attained a grade at least one level higher than anticipated.
I have taught both AQA and EDEXCEL exam boards, 16+at AS/A level standard.
I am a fully trained teacher with a PGCE in Education as well as a degree in Psychology and a masters in Criminology and criminal justice, i teach at womens centres locally, consult privately with writers, and also am an examination officer for Psychology for both AQA and EDEXCEL boards, and have been teaching for 8 years including 1 year as head of department, I also am a student support worker with University students supporting studies as well as mental health.
