About Nicky

I am an experienced teacher (11 years secondary) with a genuine love for learning and passion for delivering results. I have good working relationships with students and consistently demand and receive outstanding work. For me, learning is far more than regurgitating facts for an exam. Students need the ability to question, reason and read deeply into a text. They need to build an advanced vocabulary, be at ease with history and ideas and be confident enough that exams become a pleasure and a chance to show what you are capable of. As an author of The Sage Train I visit schools across the UK to speak about the book and show films that I have written and produced. I have been an Oxbridge co-ordinator and am responsible for helping many able students achieve their dream of securing a place and although this is satisfying, helping someone achieve their dream of a place at a prestigious school or a good exam result is just as important to me. I am friendly and approachable. Genuine, passionate, hardworking and talented. For schools admissions please note that I only tutor arts and comprehension components of Scholarship papers. Perfect! excellent tutor
I was really lucky to find Nicky here. Tutoring with her was interesting. I loved the way he communicate her ideas and her suggestions in a way that it made me think of how my story should finally be. She is very talented and knows what she talking about from the reader point of view and this makes her more useful for a creative writer.

Nicky tutored my daughter for two years and was absolutely brilliant! She was really struggling with her English GCSE, both in language and literature. Nicky worked extensively with her, she is passionate, caring and so supportive. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her lessons and she felt much more confident when she sat her exams.
