About Theodore
I am a college professor in the department of Liberal Arts. Outside of the institution, I've been teaching and tutoring on and off for thirty-five years. I have taught thousands of students privately, in groups, and in large classrooms.
I've published twice in an international classics journal (QUCC) and for three years was a reviewer for an undergraduate journal in Liberal Arts. I also have professional experience as a legal researcher and editor for Thomson Reuters (where I was on the roster for several years).
I can help domestic or international students develop the writing skills necessary to do well in their classes.
I can help graduate students with dissertation development and I can ethically edit, proofread, or format according to Chicago, APA, or MLA.
The following are in my wheelhouse: essay writing, rhetoric and argumentation, grammar, information literacy, academic research, thesis writing, dissertations, classical culture, reading, literature, creative writing, applications for grants and scholarships, and resume/cover letter writing.

In private instruction I teach based on individual needs (according to each student's learning style). I start by asking many questions, and then I proceed from there.
In the classroom I am assigned three-hour blocks. I usually spend the first 40 minutes giving a prepared lecture and then answer questions and initiate discussion.

$40 an hour is the fee for undergraduate students. The fee for graduate level dissertations will be negotiated on an individual basis.
