About Aubree

Hello! My name is Aubree, and I love helping kids discover how fun and exciting learning can be. I have 4 years of experience/training, and I’ve worked with students from kindergarten through elementary school. My lessons are designed to be creative, interactive, and full of energy—because I believe kids learn best when they’re having fun! In my classes, we read stories, play games, act out characters, and explore the world through English. My goal is to help every student grow in confidence, build strong reading and writing skills, and enjoy learning along the way. When I’m not teaching, I love coaching my Mini league Softball team! And coloring while watching Gilmore Girls! I can’t wait to learn and laugh with you!!

About the lesson

Kindergarten–Grade 2 (Fun, Imaginative, Hands-On) 1. Storybook Adventures • Each week, kids step “into” a new story (fairy tale, animal story, superhero tale). • After reading, students act out parts of the story with puppets, costumes, or drawings. • Focus: Vocabulary, comprehension, speaking. 2. Word Detectives • Kids get “detective badges” and solve mysteries by finding sight words hidden around the room (or on slides in online lessons). • Focus: Sight words, phonics, reading confidence. 3. English Through Art & Music • Every lesson combines a simple song + art project (e.g., “Five Little Ducks” + drawing their own duck family). • Focus: Listening, repetition, creativity. ⸻ Grades 3–4 (Exploration, Creativity, Storytelling) 4. Around the World in English • Each lesson “travels” to a new country. Students learn a few cultural facts and read a short story set there. • Focus: Reading, writing, and speaking through global themes. 5. Comic Book Creators • Students create their own comics with original characters, writing dialogue bubbles in English. • Focus: Writing sentences, sequencing, and creativity. 6. Mystery Mondays • Short “mystery” stories that kids solve by answering comprehension questions and decoding English clues. • Focus: Reading comprehension, inference, teamwork. ⸻ Grades 5–6 (Critical Thinking, Expression, Independence) 7. Young Authors’ Club • Students write their own short stories across several lessons, ending with a “book launch” day. • Focus: Creative writing, grammar, storytelling. 8. English Escape Rooms • Online or in-person puzzles where students must solve riddles, word games, and comprehension questions to “escape.” • Focus: Problem-solving, vocabulary, collaboration. 9. Debate & Drama • Fun debates on kid-friendly topics (“Cats vs Dogs,” “Pizza vs Burgers”) and short skits. • Focus: Speaking fluency, persuasive language, confidence.
