I love to ride horses. I show horses at the national level. I like to go camping and I love funny movies. I enjoy watching my student achieve something they never thought possible and go beyond what they thought they could do.

My approach as a tutor would be to start with getting to know the student and where their difficulties are within the academic scope. I would tailor each lesson plan to the subject and student. I would also conduct an informal assessment to give me some perspective on where the student is as far as reading level, grammar usage, vocabulary knowledge and what foundation skills may be missing in math and reading. My unique skill set is what sets me apart from other tutors. As a special education teacher, I differentiate lessons and how I teach to meet the needs of each individual student.
