About Francesco
I am passionate about science, especially Chemistry and Biology. My Oxford medicine interview allowed me to delve deeper into the biology I learnt at A level, and inspired me to carry out research into the biological basis of Schizophrenia, as part of a project for my schools Medicine Society.
I am confident and outgoing; many months of volunteering work and tutoring have enabled me to develop excellent communication skills.
I also genuinely enjoy helping people understand new ideas and concepts, and am always wary of whether my students are able to grasp these.
As Chair of my schools Science Society I have spent my last year at school trying to engage the younger years with the wonders of science, and build an appreciation for the subject. I went about this by organising lectures with speakers from various universities and liaising with a large network of both students and teachers within my school.
Finally, having recently sat both my Chemistry and Biology A levels and GCSEs, I am acutely aware of the more challenging topics and exam-style questions from the different exam boards. I have spent much time trying to understand and master these so will be able to provide students with the best possible methodologies and time-saving strategies.

Keep students on their toes with continuous questioning throughout the class.
This makes my classes more of a dialogue between me and the student (i.e. at the end of each explanation I give I will ask the student to clarify what it is they have understood etc)
I often make use of exam questions to ensure the student understands how to apply learned concepts (this is particularly important in science)
Duration of lesson is 1 hour.
I have gained 2 years of experience tutoring younger students from my school (The London Oratory).
Lessons aimed for both GCSE and A level students.
