About Jiya
Hi, my name is Jiya. I am from South Africa. I am currently studying to become a biology teacher for grades 10 to 12 as well as for N.S grades 7 to 9. I have taught large classes as well as one on one lessons, with students from all different backgrounds. My interests include science, reading and writing short stories. I would love to learn about your cultures, interests and hobbies. I always keep my lessons learner centered and tailored to each individuals needs. I would love to try and help improve your knowledge of biology or natural sciences in a relaxed and comfortable environment and in a fun and informative manner. Learning with me means that you will always have an encouraging and supportive environment, lessons will always be tailored to your goals and I will always provide clear explanations and guidance.

As a teacher I make each lesson unique and tailored to my students needs. I try my best to always make my students feel comfortable and welcome in my classes. I love to incorporate real world events and learners hobbies and interests to make lessons more fun and interactive. I also like to learn about my students cultures and ways of life to help relate lessons to their personal lives. English is my home language and I can also converse in Hindi, however I am still learning. My lessons are both fun and informative. I love to use multimedia and various different models and posters to help learners. I teach grades 7 to 9 For Natural sciences and grades 10 to 12 biology.
