Hi I’m Arlene🫶🏼 A passionate and dedicated student with a strong academic drive and a genuine love for helping others learn. Having challenged myself academically by aiming high and taking on advanced pathways. I understand both the pressure students feel and the importance of having a patient, supportive tutor. I know that every student learns differently, which is why I adapt my teaching style to suit individual needs, whether that means breaking difficult concepts into simple steps, using creative memory techniques, or building confidence from the ground up. I believe learning should feel encouraging, not intimidating, and I strive to create a positive, professional environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to help them believe in their own abilities.

I am a 5th year student who genuinely cannot stop raving about peer-to-peer tutoring; it is something that has benefited me immensely and something I hope to give back. The typical length of one of my lessons is an hour, although coming up to exam season/revision sessions, this can increase to 90/120 mins depending on the student. These lessons are aimed towards ANYONE in 5th year and below; there is no level necessary. I have taught both higher level and ordinary level across all my subjects!! (although I must be clear that I do not teach leaving certificate applied mathematics) I have had various experiences teaching fellow peers and children younger than myself. My main ambition is to instill healthy learning habits and help my students understand and develop their personal learning style, whether this be visual, kinetic, written, or auditory. I will do so by providing them with personalized notes, personalized study plans, and a comprehensive overview into their curriculum.
