About Elsie
I am a passionate piano tutor with 13 years of teaching and working experience. Teaching young minds and college students gives me great joy and purpose. My teaching journey has been filled with growth, learning, and proud achievements. Over the years, I have successfully trained students who have improved their musical skills and gained confidence in performances.
One of my proudest milestones was guiding beginners who later became confident performers in school events. I believe that music education builds patience, concentration, and emotional strength. My teaching style focuses on strong fundamentals, consistent practice, and understanding music deeply rather than memorising it.
I maintain a supportive and positive environment where students feel motivated to improve every day. I encourage questions and celebrate progress, no matter how small. My passion for piano and education continues to inspire me to give my best in every lesson.

My piano teaching methodology is centred on building strong musical foundations through Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity. I begin by understanding each student’s interests, goals, and current skill level. Based on this, I prepare structured lesson plans that include technical warm-ups, scale and arpeggio practice, chord development, rhythm training, and song performance.
Motivation is maintained by setting clear, achievable milestones and celebrating progress regularly. I believe positive encouragement helps students stay confident and disciplined.
Communication in my class is simple and interactive. I clearly explain music reading, tempo control, articulation, phrasing, and dynamics, and I demonstrate each concept before asking students to practise. Integrity guides my professional commitment; I provide honest feedback and track progress consistently.
Creativity is encouraged through improvisation, melody writing, chord exploration, and learning different styles of music. In addition to piano, I also teach music theory, harmony basics, sight reading, ear training, and beginner keyboard skills for complete musical growth.
