About Amber

I am a classically trained pianist and jazz musician with many years of professional teaching experience. I hold a Master's degree in Education, and I am also a software developer.

That combination shapes everything about how I teach. I do not just play piano and tell you what to practice — I design learning systems. My background in education means I understand how people actually learn, not just how music works. My background in software means I build tools and resources that make your practice time more effective.

The result is a structured program where every week is mapped out, every resource is organized, and you always know exactly what to do and why. You spend your energy learning, not wondering what comes next.

I work with students around the world via video call. Time zones are not a problem — we will find a slot that works.

When you study with me, you get more than a weekly video call. You get a complete program designed to make you a better, more confident pianist.

What you will learn:

-Classical technique and repertoire — Bach, Mozart, Schumann, and more
-Jazz and pop standards — including how to read lead sheets and chord symbols
-Music theory — not just rules on paper, but understanding you can actually use
-Sight reading — systematic practice that builds real fluency

How it works:

The curriculum runs in 12-week cycles. Each week focuses on a specific key, and all your technical work, theory, and sight reading align with that key. This creates deep familiarity instead of shallow exposure. By the end of each cycle, you have worked through every major and minor key — then we go deeper.

You will always have multiple pieces in progress across classical and jazz/pop styles, plus weekly listening assignments so you can study how professionals interpret the music you are learning.

What you get:

-Weekly private lessons via video call
-A full lesson plan for each week — assignments, sheet music, recordings, and reference materials all in one place
-Curated playlists for your repertoire
-Clear structure so you always know what to practice and why

What you need:

-A full-size keyboard or piano (76 keys minimum, 88 preferred)
-A tablet or computer to access your materials during practice

This program is for intermediate-level students and above. If you are a complete beginner, this is not the right fit — but if you can already play and want to fill gaps, build skills, and finally feel like you know what you are doing, book a free consultation and let us talk.
