About Alec
Hello!
My name is Alec (he/him), and I specialise in teaching English / Literature for years 6 - 11. My learning space is safe for all children to learn in, whether LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, or any other "different" persons.
English has always been my top subject throughout school and has really inspired my view on many different topics. When studying ATAR Literature, I, many times, proved to be one of the top students (if not the top student) of the class.
Although young, I believe that my age will help the learning process as a bond is generally easier to form when two are close in age. Thanks for taking the time to read about me, I hope to help you sometime!

I love the use of visual aids along with an explanation to help students better understand concepts. To me, students being able to understand concepts in their own words / terminology is crucial when comprehending and idea, from there, students are able to build upon that and further their knowledge. If you have a specific or objectively different way of learning, I am happy to facilitate.
A typical length of a lesson would be anywhere between 30mins - 1hr. A longer session can always be negotiated, as well as time slots. I am available on Wed, Fri, and the weekend anywhere from 10am - 5pm.
I have experience with helping my peers understand complex topics and ideas, as well as bringing a new perspective.
My lessons are aimed for students in the years 6-11 (yes, this includes year 6's and year 11's for clarity). If a student below this age bracket is willing / wanting to seek help, exceptions can be made.
