About Joni
I am a dedicated piano tutor with over 8 years of experience teaching students of all ages, including school children, college students, and working professionals. My teaching philosophy centres on creating a supportive, patient, and engaging learning environment where students can develop both technical proficiency and musical expression.
I have guided students through performances, competitions, and graded exams, helping them gain confidence and achieve recognition. Lessons focus on technique, sight-reading, music theory, improvisation, and performance skills, all adapted to the student’s goals. I aim to inspire students to develop discipline, confidence, and a lifelong love for music.

I combine structured exercises with enjoyable, meaningful pieces that make learning challenging yet rewarding. Open communication is essential—I encourage students to ask questions, provide feedback, and actively participate in their learning journey.
Supportiveness is central to my approach—I celebrate achievements, help students navigate challenges, and build self-confidence. I apply this same methodology to other subjects I teach, such as music theory, beginner composition, and ear training.
My ultimate goal is to create a positive and inspiring environment where students grow musically, creatively, and personally, while developing skills, confidence, and a lifelong passion for learning.
