About Cynthia
I am passionate about teaching and really just to engage with young people in general. To further expand my career in education, I am currently completing my BEd Honours degree (UCT). With over three years of classroom teaching experience in both public and private high schools, I understand the challenges learners face in the classroom. My goal is to make science engaging, approachable, and relevant to everyday life. I offer clear, structured lessons that are tailored to each learner’s individual needs and pace, ensuring that they build both understanding and confidence. I am proficient in English and Xhosa and I can teach in the language that best suits the learner. I take pride in being patient, professional, and committed to helping my learners reach their full potential for academic excellence. I look forward to supporting your child on your learning journey!

My approach to private tutoring is grounded in clarity, patience, and relevance. I focus on making complex scientific concepts accessible by linking them to real-life examples and learners' everyday experiences. My goal is not just to help students pass, but to truly understand and enjoy the subject.
I tutor in English and Xhosa, depending on the learner’s preference, which helps learners engage more comfortably and confidently.
Each lesson is tailored to the individual’s pace, learning style, and academic needs. I use a mix of visual aids, step-by-step explanations, practice questions, and continuous feedback to build understanding and skills. Learners can expect an exciting and supportive environment where questions are encouraged and learning is made enjoyable.
My lessons are best suited for Grade 5–9 learners.
