About Chloe

I am a USA-based female Music Theory tutor with 4 years of online live teaching experience supporting K-12 students, high school learners, college first-year students, and beginner composers. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Music Studies with a concentration in Composition & Theory Foundations and later completed additional training in online music education strategies. I have worked with students preparing for music coursework, songwriting projects, beginner composition assignments, and school music programs. I enjoy helping students understand theory in a practical and creative way while building confidence through supportive one-to-one learning experiences!

During my teaching career, I received the “Harmony Logic Academic Mentor Medal” and the “Creative Composition Learning Achievement Award” for my contribution to beginner-friendly music theory education and songwriting support programs. I believe theory should feel understandable and inspiring rather than difficult or overwhelming. My teaching style combines structured guidance, creative exercises, real music examples, and patient explanation methods that help students feel relaxed while learning important musical concepts. I also enjoy sharing real experiences related to songwriting, composition planning, and creative musical development during lessons!

Outside of teaching, I enjoy poetry writing, independent bookstore visits, documentary filmmaking appreciation, digital art sketching, relaxing piano improvisation, and attending local orchestral performances throughout the USA. I love exploring music history, discovering creative composition techniques, and designing engaging lesson materials for students. My goal is always to create Music Theory lessons that feel supportive, educational, and confidence-building while helping students develop strong musical understanding and creative thinking skills through personalized online guidance!

Welcome to my online one-to-one Music Theory lessons created for K-12 students, high school learners, college first-year students, and beginner musicians across the USA! My goal is to make Music Theory simple, creative, and enjoyable for students who want to improve their musical understanding and confidence. Many students feel nervous about theory because it looks difficult at first, but I explain concepts step by step using practical musical examples, creative exercises, and supportive teaching methods. Students can send class topics, homework, songwriting ideas, or music projects before lessons so I can organize customized theory sessions that match their goals and learning level!

In my classes, students learn notation reading, rhythm counting, chord construction, scales, harmony, songwriting basics, orchestration introduction, melodic structure, ear training, musical form analysis, and Musicology concepts. I also teach composition organization, creative arranging, lyric structure basics, interval training, and beginner analysis of popular music styles. My lessons are designed to connect theory with real music practice so students understand how musical ideas work naturally in songs and performances. I use beginner-friendly explanations and interactive activities to help students feel comfortable while learning important theory concepts without confusion!

For students preparing for school exams, music coursework, beginner composition projects, or college first-year music classes, I provide structured revision plans, guided exercises, theory worksheets, and personalized support. I focus on helping students improve confidence while understanding concepts clearly and applying them in practical musical situations. Students also learn study strategies, organization skills, and creative thinking methods that support long-term musical growth. My lessons encourage students to ask questions openly and explore musical ideas in a positive, supportive online learning environment designed for confidence and creativity!

My online one-to-one live Music Theory lessons are organized, interactive, and suitable for beginners through intermediate learners. I help students understand music in a practical and creative way while building strong academic and musical foundations. I also guide students interested in songwriting, arrangement practice, and creative composition projects using easy-to-follow methods and supportive feedback. Parents appreciate my calm and encouraging teaching style because I focus on making theory learning less stressful and more engaging for younger students. My goal is always to help students develop confidence, creativity, and strong musical understanding through personalized online instruction!
