About Jaden

My name is Mr. Buckingham, and I specialize in tutoring math for students from elementary through 9th grade. My approach is centered around one core belief: students learn best when they are guided—not given the answer. I help students build confidence in their abilities by challenging their thinking and supporting them as they work toward the solution on their own. Each of my lessons follows a clear and effective structure: we begin with a “Do It Now” (DIN) activity to activate prior knowledge and ease into the topic. From there, we dive into the main lesson using examples, discussion, and guided practice tailored to the student’s learning style. We wrap up with an “exit ticket” to check for understanding and reinforce what we’ve learned. This structure keeps students engaged and focused while allowing room for creativity and deeper thinking. What sets me apart is my ability to connect with youth. At 24 years old, I bring both professional commitment and relatability. I understand today’s students—their learning habits, their challenges, and what motivates them. I use that connection to create a supportive, respectful environment where students feel seen and encouraged to succeed. Whether your child needs help catching up, building foundational skills, or pushing ahead, I am here to help. About the lesson

As a math tutor, I believe in helping students truly understand concepts—not just memorize answers. My approach is built around guiding students to find solutions on their own through critical thinking and active learning. I test their knowledge and skills regularly, helping them build confidence and independence along the way.

Each lesson starts with a Do It Now (DIN), a quick warm-up to get the brain engaged and ready. From there, we dive into the core lesson with clear, step-by-step instruction tailored to the student’s pace and learning style. We wrap up each session with an exit ticket, a short task to check for understanding and solidify what we've covered.

What sets me apart? I’m 24, which means I connect with students easily. I understand how they think, what keeps them engaged, and how to make math feel more approachable—even fun. Whether your child is in elementary school or working through 9th grade math, I’m here to meet them at their level, build their confidence, and help them grow.
