About Harini
Hi, I'm Harini!
I graduated summa cum laude from Case Western Reserve University with a B.S. in Neuroscience and a secondary in Psychology. But what I'm most proud of is helping people actually understand difficult material, not just get through it.
My journey into tutoring started naturally: friends and family would come to me struggling with challenging coursework, and I discovered I had a real knack and passion for breaking things down in ways that clicked. That experience grew into formal SAT and STEM tutoring, where I've since helped students build confidence, improve scores, and genuinely enjoy learning.
Here's what I believe: there is a way to learn anything. The key is finding the approach that works for you, and that's exactly what we'll figure out together. Whether you're cramming for the SAT, tackling a tough science course, or just trying to build a stronger foundation, I'll meet you where you are.

My approach starts before the first lesson. When we connect, I'll ask questions to understand where you're struggling, how you've been taught so far, and what hasn't been working. That shapes everything from how I explain concepts to how we structure our time together.
A typical lesson opens with a quick check-in on previous material. Not to quiz you, but to find out where things still feel shaky. From there we work through new content or problems together, and I adjust based on how you're responding. If an explanation isn't landing, we try a different angle. If you're moving quickly, we keep moving.
Depending on what you need, I'll suggest follow-up practice or resources between sessions. Progress between lessons matters as much as the lesson itself.
I tutor both K-12 and college students, in person and online. My background in Neuroscience and Psychology informs how I think about breaking down complex material and identifying where understanding breaks down for a particular student.
If something hasn't clicked yet, it doesn't mean you can't get it. It usually just means it hasn't been explained the right way for you.
