About Hannah
I am someone who has always needed to be on a schedule. It is a very rare occasion that I am ever late to anything, and if I am there’s a very legitimate reason. While I do run a tight ship, I also know that being too uptight is not effective for creating a good learning environment. I like to build rapport with my students and really get to know them so I can joke around with them and so I can even relate the information they are learning about to their own lives. I have worked with many different types of students when it comes to age, gender, race, culture, disabilities, and educational levels and would love to have even more experience with this. When it comes to how I treat my students, I will always treat them with respect and I will do everything I can to make accommodations for anything that may come up and incorporate anything newly discovered or if we decide to incorporate something else into the curriculum that wasn’t originally part of the plan.

I have a sister who is in middle school (about to enter high school) and I have consistently helped her with her homework after school this year. More specifically, I have helped with her math and English homework assignments. She has told me that I have a way of wording things that just makes it easier for her to understand.
I am also a substitute teacher and I have been told this same thing by several students I have worked with.
I am not the type to just give you the information and leave you to it. I will be invested in every step. I thrive off seeing my students succeed and I love when I can see that lightbulb go off and the excitement build when they finally “get it”. I have also worked with students who deal with things such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and more. I even have some of those myself, which helps me to be able to explain things to them in a way someone else may not think to.
I am mostly looking to help tutor students who have a regular teacher and would like extra help. I do not have all the same access as a certified teacher would, but I am confident that I could find extra materials, if needed.
