About Chris
I have taught in high school as a substitute teacher for the past 20 years. I have experience in Special Handicapped, Special Education (504, IEPs), Regular education, and Advanced Placement. I am familiar with students' needs. I teach in a Socratic method. I ask questions to students so they can own their answers. I like to have a conversation, not a lecture.

Depending on my first meeting with a student, I know I can help with what they need to be successful for whatever assignment they have. I have taught long term in many different classes. I am requested by students as well as teachers. I can teach how to read or spell. I can teach a book or a novel. And even how to interpret or write about it. I believe I am good at what I do. And as a bonus, I have been a sub teacher, which means I can handle a lot of attitude or lack of enthusiasm. Just want my shot at helping educate.
