About Manav
I’m an undergraduate student at the University of Warwick, pursuing an Integrated Master’s in Mathematics—a highly rigorous and analytical programme. I bring over two years of professional tutoring experience, having worked at an established tuition company where I was trusted to lead sessions independently and support students across a wide range of age groups and abilities. What drives me is seeing the transformative impact that one-to-one support can have. Early in my tutoring journey, I realised how significantly students improve when they’re given structured guidance, patience, and encouragement. That experience motivated me to continue tutoring with even greater commitment. I take my role seriously and always strive to create a supportive, respectful, and focused learning environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes, and ultimately excelling. I’m a 19-year-old student at the University of Warwick heading into my second year, with 2 years of formal tutoring experience through a professional tutoring company. I’ve worked with a wide range of students—from as young as 4 years old up to 18—so I’m very comfortable adapting my approach to different learning styles and levels. My sessions are aimed at students in Year 9 to Year 13 who want to improve their understanding and performance in Maths and Physics, whether they’re aiming to build confidence or achieve top exam results. Each session focuses first on understanding key concepts, followed by targeted practice using exam-style questions. Students are guided through an example, and then work through similar problems with support as needed—building resilience and independent problem-solving skills. I always encourage questions at any point during the lesson and make sure students feel comfortable asking when something isn’t clear. I also set aside time for students to bring their own questions or tricky topics. A standard session is 1 hour, with the final 5 minutes used for feedback and reflection. Longer 2-hour sessions are available for students who want more intensive support. Lesson structure: Start: Quick recap with warm-up questions based on the previous lesson Middle: Concept explanation + guided practice End: Independent practice + feedback and Q&A
