About Khushi
I am an undergraduate student at the University of Glasgow. I study biochemistry. During my high school, I had volunteered at many teaching organisations where I gained the passion for teaching. I feel extremely happy when I teach a student about something I love.

I have volunteered in many teaching organisations. Through these opportunities I have learnt to create personalised study plans for each student’s learning. For instance, I believe using worksheets and practice questions is an effective way to test your understanding. I will ensure that I provide weekly worksheets so that the student feels confident about their progress in the subject. Learning science may seem hard sometimes; instead of just learning through the textbook, it is important to visualise the concepts. I will help the student understand complex concepts using visual aids such as flow charts or infographics. I will use science simulations to display simple experiments to further improve their knowledge. I will ensure that my sessions are engaging; instead of a student-teacher dynamic, I like to maintain a casual environment so that the student feels comfortable enough to ask questions whenever they feel like it. I intend to take feedback from the students themselves to ensure that I can tailor the sessions to their needs. It will take me a week or so to thoroughly understand their learning style. During the first week, I will also give the student many quizzes to understand the level they stand at. This will help me understand the amount of detail I need to go into. Some students have an excellent understanding of basic concepts, which makes it easier for them to progress at a faster rate. However, some students need help with the foundations, which is totally alright! I will ensure that the student understands each and every aspect of their course.
