About Francesco
Let me introduce myself, my name is Francesco Oliva and I am a drummer and teacher with a passion for home recording and new musical technologies. I have completed the academic degree of I liv. in jazz drums and percussion in 2016 and II liv. in 2019. I am currently completing my master's studies at DAMS, specialization in Music (teaching and new technologies).
I am 30 years old and have spent at least half of them playing and studying music. Before becoming a full-time musician, I worked in after-school services and as a tourist entertainer, interacting with both children and secondary school children. As a teacher I have also taught music to adults and seniors and I have successfully prepared students for the entrance exam in the conservatory.
I firmly believe that every student, regardless of level and age, brings with them a wealth of experience which constitutes the first step towards achieving any goal.

It will be my pleasure to help you build the skills necessary to tackle different musical styles, such as rock, jazz, funk, Latin, r & b, soul and neo soul. Together we will listen to music extracted from various contexts and we will set the objectives to be achieved.
An important element of my method is the warm-up, which is a routine of exercises that we will perform together from time to time in order to refine rhythmic perception and coordination. This is how we will begin our meetings, which will develop differently according to your level and the goal you have set for yourself, whether it be preparing for the entrance exam in the conservatory, playing better with others or simply finding an outlet by playing your favorite songs.
Students of all ages are welcome!
