About Aksiya
Hello, my name is Aksiya and I am a student at the University of Warwick. The reason why I want to teach is because being a student myself, I know what is engaging and what is not. I also struggled with learning myself, for example finding motivation, feeling like my revision method was not working for me or simply not understanding what is happening in that certain subject or topic. Given this, I can provide you with support and guidance and essentially a shortcut for you to reach your potential ( because trust me I know how frustrating it get when you don’t understand what is going on although you feel like you are giving it your best shot).

Personally I believe that the best way to learn a subject is by putting it into practice and learning by examples. I will go through thoroughly each step of the answer and also provide the student with a question similar to the worked example. I will also encourage them to recognise what the question is asking them to do. Out of all the methods that has been taught to me, this personally worked best for me.
I am also weary that different methods may work better with different students and will adapt to the methods that will bring my student to their optimum level.
Learning how to study and what works best for each individuals is one of the most important thing to understand and I would help my students figure out their best way, whether it is active recall, mind-maps or practice questions.
