About Alex

My name is Alex. And I am 16 years old and now I am studying the IB Biology, IB Chemistry and IB Maths in sixth form. I have chosen chemistry because it's my favourite subject out of all 3 sciences. 2 years ago, I had a point in my life when I had a bad understanding of chemistry. And I had a choice to revise all of the chemistry from scratch or to stop time and never become a scientist as I have dreamed. I chose the 1st option. And as I was revising all the knowledge from scratch, I did understand chemistry much better, because in chemistry any new topic can be explained by the knowledge you had known before. For example, as you get to know the atomic structure, you can understand the difference between metal and non-metal, and then you can explain the different types of bonding and why they are happening and so on. Chemistry is very logical and I went all this way of revising to get 8-8 in combined science and I want to help anyone who seriously thinks to start studying chemistry.

About the lesson

In my lessons, I will lead the students through the essential and most important topics in chemistry. But the most important part of chemistry is not to just memorise all the content in it, but to understand how chemistry works, in particular the basics! Chemistry is a very logical science and as you get the basics well, the further new knowledge will be easy to understand and the knowledge of it is going to stay inside your brain for years! And I am very happy to help anyone who seriously wants to get better knowledge and raise their grade in the Chemistry GCSE Higher and Foundation levels.
