About Natalia

Working in my field has shown me that each child deserves an approach unique to them in order for them to thrive. This is my second job working with children and in healthcare.
After graduating high school, I immediately began working towards my Bachelor degree of Science in Psychology. I am a rising junior now and will be continuing my education towards a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, and then a PhD in Early Childhood Development.
I am not new to tutoring! I have tutored for peers, family, and family friends. I love teaching and understanding others. It is such a joy seeing a student thrive because the potential is always there, but it only takes time and support to unleash it! I am open to commuting wherever the student/parent feels most comfortable.
On a more personal note, I have so many interests! From movie franchises (mostly sci-fi/fantasy/action), books, traveling, and music; I will find anything to start a conversation and create a trusting bond. I have two younger siblings that never left our house quiet, but our bonds are strong! I am from Miami, Florida and moved to NOVA at 16 years old (yes I do hate the cold, no I don't know how to surf).

About the lesson

I connect with parents as much as I do with students! Please communicate anything that may seem relevant such as behavioral issues in school, visual/verbal learner, or their strongest subject(s).
I understand that every student is unique, even those preteens/teens! My approach depends on the student and their needs. If a student is a visual learner, I know to draw or map it out for them. Difficulty focusing? I know to create interactive approaches and incorporate their interests to create a memorable lesson.
Each lesson should begin with a structured plan of what should be understood by the end, and will end with a review and debrief of what we learned. I will also communicate with parents on where their child lands on a progress level.
I work best with elementary and middle school students, but I am open to consider high school help as well. This includes lesson reviews, exam prep, or homework aid.
