About Alexander
My name is Alexander Leer, and I have recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Mathematics. I believe that Mathematics is for everyone and that anyone can achieve the grade they want with the right guidance, support, and structure. When I was studying GCSE and A-Level Mathematics, I was fortunate to have a fantastic tutor who helped me go from being very behind in Maths to eventually putting me on the path to studying Mathematics at university. That experience had a big impact on me, and I hope to give students the same guidance, support, and mentorship that I received. My aim is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them build confidence and develop a better understanding of Mathematics.

My approach to tutoring will be making Mathematics as tangible as possible, in other words I want the students to play around with the mathematics to see how abstract concepts work in a practical setting with concepts like algebra, geometry and calculus. The length of the lessons will be one hour. My qualifications as a tutor is a degree in pure mathematics at the University of Sussex and masters in financial mathematics at the University of Queen Mary. My lesson are for GCSE students and A Level Maths and further Mathematics students.
