About Lily

I am a final year English student at Trinity College Dublin and have 3 years of experience tutoring. I have taught both JC and LC courses, and my approach to teaching focuses on finding the fun in English. I believe it can be the most enjoyable subject for any student, as well as one of the easiest once they understand the course thoroughly.

About the lesson

As I have completed my Leaving Certificate exams in recent years, I know how hard it can be for some students to stay motivated, especially in a subject such as English where people believe that there is little they can do to improve their grade. I excel at finding new and enjoyable ways to learn the English course, shaping my classes and teaching methods around the individual student. I believe that anyone's grade can improve with hard work, knowledge of the exam layout, and the right teacher.

I think Lily is a great tutor, she made hard topics easy to understand. Her explanations were always clear, and she took the time to make sure everything made sense. I understood my classes and exams a lot more after working with her, especially in areas I used to struggle with. I’m really grateful for her support and I've improved a lot. Lily is also a really nice and sweet person and makes the class so much fun so I would definitely recommend her!
