Hi! My name is Niya, and I am an IB student passionate about helping others succeed in math. My teaching approach focuses on patience, clear explanations, and creating a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to match each student’s needs and pace.
A typical lesson usually begins with reviewing concepts the student may be struggling with, followed by guided practice problems and step-by-step explanations. I also like to include tips for solving problems more efficiently and improving test-taking confidence. My goal is not only to help students get the right answer, but to truly understand the process behind it.
What sets me apart as a tutor is that, as a current student in the IB program, I understand the academic pressure students face and can explain concepts in a relatable and approachable way. I focus on building both skills and confidence so students feel more prepared in class.
My lessons are best suited for middle school and high school students, including those taking Algebra, Geometry, pre-calculus, or general math courses. Whether a student needs homework help, test preparation, or extra support understanding lessons, I am here to help them improve and reach their goals.
