About Alexandra Raquel Pestana Policarpo Gouveia
Mathematics is definitely my passion and I love helping students to share this taste and develop their mathematical skills, reasoning, work ethics and safety! I only give individual or small group classes to be able to give different attention to each student. Two online classes, from the zoom platform, using the whiteboard. I have experience with face-to-face explanations and in the quarantine I did explanations by zoom and they worked just as well, maybe even more efficient! If you need to, I am happy to tutor mathematics in English (especially directed at Erasmus or foreign students at UMa).

My desired profession is to be a mathematician, which involves researching mathematics and teaching at the university. As for my qualifications, I have a First Class Masters degree in mathematics from the United Kingdom (University of Nottingham) with an average equivalent to a Portuguese average equal to or superior to 18/20. I was accepted for PhDs in the UK and the United States.
