About Tanvi

I am motivated to pursue teaching because I am committed to supporting students in developing confidence, understanding and strong academic outcomes in Maths. Having recently completed my A-Levels, I have a clear and current understanding of the academic demands students face, particularly during GCSE and pre-GCSE studies, and I recognise the importance and necessity of clear explanation, structured guidance and consistent support.

Through my tutoring experience, I have developed a strong interest in helping students overcome barriers to learning and build independent problem-solving skills. I find it particularly rewarding to support students as they progress from uncertainty to confidence, and to contribute meaningfully to their academic development.

I am keen to continue developing my experience in education within a professional tutoring environment, where I can further refine my teaching practice while helping students achieve their full potential.

About the lesson

My Maths tuition is highly personalised and structured to meet each student’s academic goals, whether that involves strengthening core understanding, securing top grades, or preparing for 11+ and GCSE examinations. Lessons are carefully adapted to the individual, with the option to work ahead of the school curriculum to ensure students are consistently challenged and fully prepared for upcoming topics, or to closely follow their school scheme for targeted in-class support.

Each session is delivered with a strong focus on depth of understanding, precision and exam technique, breaking down complex concepts into clear, logical steps that build confidence and independence. I place particular emphasis on developing problem-solving skills and mathematical reasoning, enabling students to approach unfamiliar questions with clarity and assurance.

Progress is continuously monitored through detailed tracking and regular assessments, allowing lessons to be refined and targeted to each student’s evolving needs. I also provide carefully tailored day-to-day homework after each session to reinforce learning, consolidate key skills and ensure consistent progress between lessons.
