About Iona
I have just completed my Undergraduate degree in English Language & Literature at the University of Oxford. This year, having obtained the Ogilvie Thomson Scholarship, I will be continuing at Oxford and doing a MSt in English (1900-Present Day). I achieved 4a*s in Maths, Physics, History, and English at A-Level and 8 grade 9s at GCSE as well as an A^ in further maths. I am an experienced tutor who puts my student's needs first, working alongside them to find and identify any areas of weakness. I have tutored students in the past for their GCSEs and A-Levels: all have them have gone on to achieve or exceed their predicted grades. I also work for four tutoring companies, including those that focus specifically on tutoring students to get into Oxbridge, so have experience in university admissions processes. I believe that tutoring should be rewarding, enjoyable, and productive for tutor and tutee alike, and aim to create a learning environment in which students feel comfortable to ask specific questions and bring up any area of particular concern which we can then focus on in the tutoring session.

My lessons are normally 1-2hrs but are flexible and tailored to the student's needs. I have taught students working towards their GCSEs and A-Levels and have experience editing personal statements and helping people with the ELAT admissions tests as well as helping students specifically with Oxbridge entrance and interviews.
