As a tutor, I believe in tailoring my approach to the individual needs and learning style of each student. My teaching methods often include demonstrating concepts, working through problems together, and providing practice materials for reinforcement. In a typical lesson, I like to begin by assessing the student's current understanding of the subject and any areas of difficulty. From there, we work through examples and practice problems to build understanding and confidence. One thing that sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to explain concepts in multiple ways and to break down complex topics into more manageable pieces. I am comfortable teaching up to Calculus and have scored a 1550 on the SAT (800 Math). My lessons are typically geared towards middle or high school students who are struggling in math courses, or who are looking to improve their skills and get ahead.
