About Matt
I’m a third-year student at the University of Birmingham studying international business, but next year I’m headed to live in New York City to continue my studies!
I have a passion for basketball, and in my free time I captain my university team. I love working with people whether in sports or the classroom, and I would love an opportunity to share my other passion, English, with the future stars that are the students.

For me, every person is wonderfully unique and so a unique approach is necessary to every single session. Coming from someone who knows the struggle of a teacher set in their ways, I really believe in meeting students halfway and figuring out what works best for them.
Patience and resilience are two skills that I implement with pride in my day-to-day life, and they transfer to my approach. I believe that while pressure is a useful tool and needed to produce results, the students who do best are motivated but calm - capable of taking pressure off, which reflects in my teaching style.
