About Sam

I am Sam Wilson, a 20-year-old violinist studying Music Performance at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. I achieved a distinction at grade 8 aged 14, and have lots of experience as an orchestral player and soloist. I have played a wide range of violin, including Baroque, Romantic, Folk, and even Rock, and would feel comfortable teaching many different styles of playing.

About the lesson

My lessons typically last 30 minutes, however I am more than happy to vary the length/frequency of lessons, depending on the student's preferences. I am comfortable teaching any level, from a complete beginner to an intermediate/advanced player. I mould my lessons to the pupil, always maintaining an adaptable approach to suit each individual, as of course everyone learns differently and at different speeds. I like to focus more on musicality and technique than just getting through repertoire, so I may go through things in some detail.
